October 2001:

10-27-01:  Right on.  Faire is over--I'm both happy and sad.  You'd think I'd have time to get things done?  Yes and no.  It's busy as always and I have problems with time management.  The girls and I ended up going back down to KC for "one last day" the last weekend.  It was a blast.  Check out photos from B&B Weekend.  More photos from "the one last day" will be coming soon-ish as well.  I also just updated the About Me section a little bit.

Much studying is to be had in the next few weeks, I've been really slacking off and it's time to get back into the groove.  I'm going to audit my yoga class, I have until Nov. 9th to do that though.  October's been...October.  Some of you know what that means.  Ali's at regionals and Denyce is in the hospital--I hope they find out what's wrong soon.

10-3-01:  (I almost put this under September...but September's over now, yeesh.)

I have a hard time of knowing what day or date it is.  I have to think *really hard* about what classes I have the next day, etc.  I think I'm getting burned out.  I really like my Literature and my Sociology class though, so that's good.

I got all of my favors done for Wench Invasion (Oct. 6&7).  It seems that no one is as gung-ho about it as last year. >shrugs< Ah well, I'm not either.  I rented a jacket because it's going to be around 49-65 degrees this weekend and that's a little chilly.

October 9th will be Kris' and my 6-month anniversary.  That's special because Brandon and I didn't even make it that far, and I'm really surprised that Patrick and I did.  That's not the only reason it makes it special of course.  I am a very lucky girl to have such a great boyfriend.

In school news, I got a 90% on my Sociology test, not bad for being in class for one week (since I dropped my Business class and got into the SOC class after it had been going for 3-4 weeks.)

I've been plodding along.  Being able to go off to faire and escape for a bit has been great, especially with school and all of this 9-11-01 craziness.

Check out The Huskers Game and also Faire Photos for updates.

September 2001:

9-9-01:  School is crazy, I'm busy all the time...but it's good to be doing things, I suppose.  Kris and I had our 5-Month Anniversary at the KC faire on Saturday, it was great weather to be down there too!  I got new boots for my pirate garb, and they were $30.  So that brings the total for my pirate outfit up to $100...not bad for a really phatty costume, if I do say so myself.  A purchase I'm looking at for next year are a pair of black leather gauntlet gloves...they would be very Captain-ey.

I have a lot of homework to do, but so far today I've just been web-paging.  I wanted to get everything done, so that I wouldn't be tempted to do it during the week.  I must say that it was very nice to relax for a few hours, even though mom wasn't very happy with my decision of timely use.

We also have our hot-tub installed and being put to good use.  I love that thing!

Check out KCRF01 and Jolly Time for new photos.

9-4-01:  Things have been crazy, I went down to Kansas City twice over Labor Day Weekend for the faire and took tons of photos.  School just got started up and it's already crazy and hectic!

August 2001:

8-24-01:  I'm working on a new scheme and layout for the pages, it's going alright so far!

8-23-01:  Just took some pre-faire garb photos.  I always have to do a little dress up to make sure that I have everything done, everything works---and it's just fun to play dress up too.  Kris was a great photographer!  Four days until we're back to school and 9 days until KCRF!

8-20-01:  We're home from Chicago--pretty much safe and sound.  We had a couple little crazy adventures; met a guy named Thomas that followed us around for about 3 hours that talked about his anti-psychotics medicine and how he doesn't hear voices in his head anymore, the convention was really cool, we almost got lost and drove into downtown, we visited the Compton of Chicago by car on the way into town, I got fronted by some girls on the "El" train because I was wearing socks with my skirt (rockabilly stylee--g!), Kris and I got to have a date on the town when we went to Navy Pier and everyone else stayed in the hotel room to play Magic the Gathering and sleep.  The convention was sweet, I got a photo of me with Cheetara and Liono from Thundercats (some patrons dressed up).  I took 6 rolls of film, photos should be up soon along with a detailed description of the trip!

8-14-01:  I just got my birthday present from Alicia, she got some beeeeautiful flowers delivered to my house while she's away visiting her family!  How cool is *that*?

Tonight I got my presents from Kris, dinner at the Outback, an Italian 1680's Triple Barrel Flint-Lock pistol replica and a gift certificate to Torrid!

8-13-01:  It's official.  I couldn't even get into my geocities account to delete my pages, so I had to have Kris do it for me.  I had them all backed up on my hard-drive, so now I just have to work on re-doing all of them and getting them up and linked.  I suppose the first thing that I will have to do when I get back from vacation is to make a new home-page. >nods<

A lot has happened so far in August.  The summer is coming to an end, but it's been a well-needed rest.  We also got a digital camera sometime in the July-August area, which has been a fantastic toy.

I finished up my pirate garb for the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this year (especially for Buccaneers and Bandits weekend in October, which is also the weekend for the Heartland Wenches' Invasion).

The BIG NEWS is that on August 16th (my birthday!) I'm going with a bunch of people to Chicago for Wizard-Con for four days!  This is my first "big girl" trip, without family or anything.  Last fall I went to the KC faire with Jenny and Summer, but my brother's best friend lives in KC--so he drove down there with us and hung out with his friend.  I'm driving in one car, and I'd better remember Andy, my brother's radar detector!

We go back to school on August 27th and I'm taking:  Critical Approaches to Literature (one of the two finishing classes that I need for my English minor), Survey of Business Management, Computer Literacy with Applications (a special 'Business Major' editon), Introduction to Psychology, Psychology Discussion and probably Yoga.

Kris and I just dyed our hair together (aw, how cute---did you vomit yet?) today so we could be all uber cool for the Chicago trip, or something.

The wee-bit of summer that's left is going to fly on by, but it's been a good one!

I really want to get my faire sites up and working by the time I go to KC over Labor Day, because I want to be able to take tons of photos with our new digital camera! :)

Things I want to work on site wise:

*First things first, a new home-page.  I think something along the lines of a black background with maybe some scattered daisy icons, maybe a side-bar or something.  I have to play around with a few things.  I DO like the black backgrounds on the pages, so I'm pretty sure that I will keep that.*

*The Renaissance Faire Pages*

*"Cast of Characters" page, so everyone can know who all of these peeps are that I always reference in my pages are!*

*Getting up all old pages before I start new ones*

*Get Chicago page up ASAP after I get the photos back*

July 2001:

I've been so damn lazy this summer I can't hardly remember what happened.  I have to go back through my livejournal to track down some events and happenings.  I remember that Kris and I went to Sedalia, MO for a Renaissance Faire:

June 2001:

I worked my last year on contract at the Renaissance Faire of the Midlands in Council Bluffs, Iowa and I visited my family in Minnesota.  More later, after I remember what I did.
